J. Matthew Norris (Matt) is a trial attorney who has focused his practice on representing North Carolina consumers, enforcing and advocating for their legal rights, and hopefully making a positive difference in their lives during what may be an otherwise stressful time. A native of North Carolina, he graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta. While attending law school, he gained a broad legal perspective through various extracurricular clerkships and externships, including having the distinct honor to serve as a law clerk to two Justices on the Georgia Supreme Court, representing indigent clients with income tax issues as a member of the College of Law Tax Clinic, and externing with the Federal Defender's Office in Atlanta. His experience in law school and after has shaped and strengthened his desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals.
He has been admitted to practice in North Carolina and the Federal District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina.
